Michael Pawlyn - Biology - A powerful source of innovation
"We can learn from the way nature solve problems to develop much better solutions that suits humans needs."
Michael Pawlyn is an architect that established Exploration Architecture in 2007 to focus on the emerging discipline of biomimicry – one of the most powerful sources of solutions to designing buildings that are more efficient and better tuned to people’s needs.
In this session on biology Michael presents a case for how biomimicry can help us address some of the key challenges of our age. Biomimicry offers a synthesis of the best that human ingenuity can deliver coupled with the 3.8 billion years of research and development that biological organisms represent.
