Liam Young - A Future City
”In a smart city, virtual and real no longer apply” Architect Liam Young presents the smart city through an audiovisual storytelling performance. Working between documentary and fiction in order to explore the possible future, he has created an eerie fictional documentary consisting of surveillance, drone and satellite footage, depicting the fears and wonders of a city in our near future. Speculating on the effects that the immersion of new digital systems will have on our urban environments, he narrates this talk about a city that operates on smart technology.
