Åsa Bjerndell is an architect, urban planner and partner at White Arkitekter, the office that, together with Norwegian architects Ghilardi + Hellsten, won the international architecture completion to relocate Kiruna.
Kiruna, Sweden's most northerly city, has to be moved! Iron ore has created jobs and prosperity in the city since 1900. But it is also mining that makes it necessary to move most parts of the city to safer ground over the next 100 years. How do you set and envision big change and get people to follow your lead?
