He awakens the aching of something essential that we have forgotten over time, something that we have made ourselves disconnected from.

Instead of quantifying and optimizing everything that surrounds us we should leave some things to mystery and romance. Tim asks the question "Will humans be able to feel in the future?", probably not if we continue to engineer the romance out of our lives.

”With these guidelines you will get into a state of data bliss.”

In this talk, Roger Magoulas, Research Director of O’Reilly Media go deep into the process of finding useful data and the importance of visualizing it, he also presents a framework for working with data.

The world is awash in messy, ambiguous, poorly formed data. We need to present clean data with consistent categories that can be integrated into connecting with real things. Exploration with data is far more important than to simply look for confirmation with data. Through exploration with different kinds of data tools we get a bigger picture instead of only small parts. Through collaboration and awareness of our bias the data can get even better.
